Smith-Cotton Lady Tigers Swim & Dive Team Take Seventh at Independent Leagues

The Smith-Cotton Lady Tigers Swim & Dive team finished seventh on Thursday at the 2017 Independent League Championship meet at Lincoln College Preparatory Academy in Kansas City.

Top finishers for the Lady Tigers were Mariah Turner, sixth in the 500-yard freestyle; Valentyna Usyk, eighth in the 100-yard butterfly; and the 200-yard freestyle relay team, which took sixth place.

St. Teresa Academy dominated the meet, finishing first with 562 points. Notre Dame de Sion was second with 391 points and Pembroke Hill was third with 258.
