Smith-Cotton Students Place Flowers at Sarah Cotton’s Grave

To honor one of Sarah Cotton’s final requests, each year on her birthday (Oct. 1), members of the Smith-Cotton High School chapter of the National Honor Society and the Smith-Cotton Junior High chapter of the National Junior Honor Society place flowers at Cotton’s gravesite on Friday, Sept. 30.

Cotton donated the land where S-C Junior High – previously S-C High School – is located.
