The Smith-Cotton High School Theatre Department hosted a Shakespeare competition on February 2nd.

Students had to memorize a monologue from a Shakespearean play and perform it in front of a panel of judges. The competition was judged by Greg Willson, Michael Kailus, and Diane Eschbacher. Participating students included, Sarah Hinkson, Derrick Gilger and Krysta Ott.

The winner of the contest was Krysta Ott, who performed one of Helena’s monologues from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
