Smithton Man Arrested for Rape, Sodomy

On June 1, Pettis County Sheriff's detectives arrested 21-year-old Carter W. Boehm of Smithton following an investigation into allegations he had consensual sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old white female who is unrelated to him. He is currently being held at the Pettis County Jail, pending the filing of formal charges for 2nd degree statutory rape and 2nd degree statutory sodomy.

On June 2, Pettis County Sheriff's deputies arrested Dillon J. Pettis, 19, Hughesville, after a traffic strop near 18th and Prospect. He had an active warrant for Failure to Appear on a traffic offense. He was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was being held on a $150 cash-only bond.

On June 2, Pettis County Sheriff's deputies took a burglary report in the 5400 block of South Limit.

On June 2, Pettis County deputies took a burglary and property damage report from the 4900 block of US Highway 65.

Deputies took a property damage report in the 1000 block of South Main in La Monte on June 2. Minor damage to a car was reported. There are no leads or suspects at this time.
