The senior class at Smithton High School is planning a safe, fun and festive graduation night, so as a fund-raiser for that event, Project Graduation 2017 is under way and any cash donations are currently being accepted.

The May, 2017 event will be held at PowerPlay Family in Kansas City, which offers a wide variety of indoor attractions, including bowling, a roller coaster, laser tag, laser maze, bumper cars, zip-line and arcade games, to name a few.

A hog roast and silent auction is planned for Saturday, Nov. 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. to help raise funds for the Smithton Project Graduation, which involves roughly 40 teenagers having fun over a 10-hour period.
