Smithton Teen Injured in Pettis County Wreck

A 19-year-old Smithton woman was injured Saturday night in one-vehicle accident.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident around 10:30 p.m. on Route HH, just east of Route EE, in Pettis County.

According to the online crash report, a 2000 Chevy Silverado traveled off the right side of the road, where it struck a culvert, and went airborne. The Chevy then came to rest on its wheels.

The driver, 19-year-old Nakia S. Wilson, suffered minor injuries in the accident. She was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center, by PCAD, for treatment.

The MSHP report states the Chevy received extensive damage and was towed from the scene. Wilson was wearing a safety device.
