Newcomer Ian Viscarra made his presence felt in a big way, scoring two first-half goals for Sacred Heart and assisting on two others during Wednesday's match with the Stover Bulldogs in the Kaysinger Tournament.

The Gremlins quickly jumped out to a two-goal lead and did not let up the pressure until the final minute. In the most complete effort of the year, Dylan Elwood and Sam Bello added two more first-half goals for a 4-0 lead at half.

The Gremlins kept up the pressure in the second half with a goal by Sam Bello just three minutes in. Bello beat the keeper down the middle off a Viscarra pass.

Senior and leading goal scorer Francisco Rojas (16) put the final touches on the game with a well-struck penalty kick.

The defensive efforts of Jude Rollings, Lucas Martin, Nolan Walker, John Ulbrich and Easton Webb (Gk) preserved the Grems' first shutout of the year.

The Gremlins are now 8-8 on the year and play for the Kaysinger Conference Tournament title on Saturday.

Sacred Heart returns to regular play Oct. 9 at La Monte (3-8)
