Springfield Man Caught With Meth After Attempting To Steal Items

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Police say a Springfield man was caught with methamphetamine after trying to steal a cart full of merchandise from a business. Thirty-year-old Joe Walters is charged with stealing and possession of a controlled substance. Authorities say Walter and another man were stopped as they were trying to leave Wal-Mart without paying for more than $1,300 worth of items.
