St. Louis Boxer Found Dead in Back Seat of SUV

A promising St. Louis boxer has been fatally shot.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that 26-year-old Michael Williams was found dead in the back seat of an SUV early Saturday. Police say he was shot in the abdomen and legs after exchanging words with three men, one of whom pulled a gun and began shooting.

No arrests have been made.

Trainer Harold Petty says Williams fought and won a professional fight in August and was showing strong potential.
