St. Louis Man Accused in 2 Separate Killings

A St. Louis man is facing two counts of first-degree murder for killings that occurred three days apart earlier this month.

KMOV-TV reports that 19-year-old Dawton Thompson also faces robbery and armed criminal action charges. He is jailed on $1 million cash-only bond.

Both shootings happened in south St. Louis. Thompson is accused of killing 24-year-old John Jerome Moore on June 9.

Three days later, 23-year-old Jessica Paxton was fatally shot while in a car with a man and a 2-year-old boy. Police say that shooting happened after Thompson and two other suspects announced a robbery.
