In the first game, NOC-E got on the scoreboard first with five runs and added another run in the sixth. In the bottom of the sixth, SFCC's MacKenze Gudde scored a run. NOC-E tacked on three in the seventh to seal the victory.

Gudde (3-3) went the distance in the circle. She allowed nine runs, six of them were earned. Kalee Shumaker had the only hit in the game.

In the second game, freshman pitcher Emily Ross made her first appearance as a Lady Roadrunner. SFCC scored in the bottom of the first when Sarah McAninch doubled home Cotter to put SFCC up 1-0.

Northern Oklahoma scored two runs in the third and added two more in the sixth to take the lead 4-1.

SFCC loaded the bases in the seventh courtesy of a walk from Makayla Gustin. Madison Harris singled back up the middle to score Gudde to make the final score 4-2.

Ross (0-1) took the loss. She allowed six hits and four runs while striking out seven. McAninch had a pair of hits in the game and walked twice.

"We've had runners on base and opportunities to score runs in most of our game," said head coach Lyndsey Talbot. "We were just missing a couple of timely hits."

SFCC is now 5-11 on the season.

The games with Iowa Western Community College for today (Friday) have been canceled, according to SFCC"s website. The Lady Roadrunners play East Central College Saturday, March 18 at home.
