Steak ‘n Shake Coming to Sedalia, Expected to Open in October

Sedalians can expect a brand new Steak 'n Shake to open in town later this year. Owner Jorge Guevara has announced that excavation is scheduled to begin within the next 30 days. Groundbreaking is expected by July at the 4201 Wisconsin Ave. location with a tentative opening date in October.

The restaurant will be open 24 hours a day after an initial three to six month opening period. In addition to being able to buy food around the clock, Steak 'n Shake customers will have economical choices with four combos under $4.

Guevara said that the Steak 'n Shake project has been two years in the making and that with a great community with lots of events, Sedalia has become a "bull's eye" for developers. Guevara was appreciative of the Sedalia City Council who worked with him in order to make the project possible.

The Steak 'n Shake will create job opportunities in Sedalia, and the restaurant is currently accepting applications for management positions. Those interested in applying can view the application here.
