Steven Leroy Fischer, 55, of Cole Camp, died Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at his home.  He was born on July 17, 1960, at Versailles, Missouri, a son of Leroy Theodore and Betty Laura (Hudson) Fischer.

He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stover and  graduated from Stover High School in 1978.  In 1979, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country until 1981.  He then joined the United States Navy in 1982 and served his country honorably until retiring in 1999.

On April 24, 1982, at the First Baptist Church in Stover, he was united in marriage to Regina Ruth Riley, who survives of the home.

He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stover.  He was an ironworker for Iron Workers Local # 10 of Kansas City.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, listening to music, having his daily "Dew", and helping others.

He is survived by:
his wife, Regina of the home;
his sister, Debra Jean Keane and Aaron of Blue Springs;
his brother, Timothy Stuart Fischer and Mariella of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma;
his mother-in-law, Margaret Riley of Cole Camp; and
several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Betty Fischer, his father-in-law, Clarence Riley, and his grandparents, Leo and Agnes Fischer and Orval T. and Dorothy Hudson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.  Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. at Little Niangua McCain, Preston, with military honors by the American Legion Post No. 305 of Cole Camp.

The family will receive friends from 5 - 8 p.m. on Friday, January 22, 2016, at the Fox Funeral Home in Cole Camp.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to Little Niangua McCain Cemetery in care of the Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.

Pallbearers will be Myron Fischer, Danny Ebeling, Mark Hudson, Steven Rath, Jacob Riley, and Levi Riley.  Honorary Justin Keane, Tyler Keane, Aidan Fischer, Andrew Riley, Broden Riley, and Zachary Riley.
