STING UNIT Arrests a Sedalia Man For Child Pornography

According to a Sedalia Police report on the 8th of September the Sedalia Police Department’s STING Unit executed a search warrant at 2226 West 1st Street Terrace in reference to alleged drug activity.  The report states the search warrant allowed for the search of cell phone content, and a cell phone was taken into custody. During a forensic scan of the phone the report states several videos and images obviously child pornography was found. A further search by the Western Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force revealed more evidence of child pornography. 37-year-old John Lewis Hays was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending charges.
