A 34-year old Stover woman is accused of possessing meth in the Moniteau County Jail.

A press release from the Moniteau County Sheriff's Department indicates that on December 28, deputies received information that a current inmate was possibly in possession of a controlled substance.

A K-9 unit assisted with the search and gave a positive alert for drugs in two cells inside the facility. The inmates from that section of the jail were then searched and a "substantial" amount of methamphetamine was reportedly located.

The inmate, 34-year old Bonnie B. Strutton, of Stover, was then placed in another holding cell, pending charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Delivery of a Controlled Substance inside a Detention Facility.
