Sedalia man arrested for theft of a violin

Around 6 o’clock Friday evening Sedalia police responded to Wilkins Music at 207 South Ohio on the theft of a violin. A short time later officers located the suspect, 49-year-old Pavel Antoshuk of Sedalia. Antoshuk reportedly resisted  arrest. At the time of the police report he was in the Pettis County Jail on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

Vehicle reported stolen in the 3100 block of Brianna Blvd Saturday morning

At 10:13 Saturday morning Sedalia police investigated a report of a stolen vehicle, that occurred sometime overnight. According to the female victim her 1999 Ford Escort license number FH7H5B was stolen from the 3100 block of Brianna Blvd. There are no suspects at this time.

 

Theft from local Pawn shop caught on video

Friday morning the Family Pawn at 2805 West Broadway reported a man came into the store, and stole some merchandise. According to the police report there is surveillance video of thefts. A suspect has not yet been arrested in that case.

 

Victim in the 500 block of East 9th reports thefts from his home

Saturday morning Sedalia police took a theft complaint from a victim in the 500 block of East 9th. According to the victim someone stole his keys from a lawnmower parked behind the residence, and used them to enter the home, and steal items. There was no suspect information in the police report.

 

Scrap metal and a floor jack stolen from a truck on West 4th

At 4 o’clock Saturday morning Sedalia police took a theft complaint from a victim in the 900 block of West 4th. The victim told officers sometime overnight someone stole scrap metal, and a floor jack from the bed of their truck. There were no suspects at news time.

 

Tire slashed on man’s vehicle on east 14th

Saturday morning the Sedalia police took a vandalism complaint from a victim in the 900 block of East 14th. The victim reported sometime overnight someone slashed a tire on his vehicle. Value of the tire was placed at $120. there are no suspects.

 

Accident reports from the Missouri State Highway patrol

Just before 4 o’clock Saturday afternoon the Missouri State Highway patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on US 50 Highway at Pleasant Green Road. The accident occurred according to the report as the 2001 Dodge driven by 18-year-old Carl Arnett of Lamonte pulled into the path of the 1995 Toyota driven by 30-year-old Pedro Torres of Aurora Colorado causing it to strike the Arnett vehicle. Five people received injuries in the accident  ranging from minor to moderate, and were taken to Bothwell Hospital, by APSI Ambulance for treatment. The report states charges are pending.

At 4:40 Saturday afternoon the Missouri state highway patrol reported an injury accident, in the 14000 block of Route “B” in Pettis County. The accident happened according to the report as the 1996 Dodge driven by 54-year-old David Theisen of Lincoln, overtook the 1997 GMC, driven by 48-year-old Timothy Steele of Sedalia, and struck it in the rear.

Steele sustained minor injuries, and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by EMS for treatment. The report states charges are pending in the accident.
