Susan Lee Kitch, 57, of Smithton, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at her home.

She was born December 10, 1957, in Kansas City, daughter of Marcus H. and Virginia Lee Kitch. Susan grew up and was educated in Sedalia. She graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 1976, and from State Fair Community College with a degree in Respiratory Therapy.

She worked as a Respiratory Therapist for 36 years. Her greatest love was her two sons, Jacob Lee Kearney (Bethany), and Lucas Hugh Kearney. She was known for being close to all of her sons closest friends. She loved all her family.

She was an avid Mizzou fan, enjoyed arrowhead hunting, and loved her two cats, Jack and Nova. She was known for being a selfless, generous, kind and compassionate person.

In addition to her sons, survivors include her brother, Mark Kitch (Kay), of Hallsville; her sister, Marsha Urton (John), of Sedalia; and nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 25, at the Heckart Family Center. Please wear black and gold for her love of Mizzou.
