The police report states the victim fought with the suspect until he fled the residence and the victim received serious injuries during the home invasion. The suspect, 28-year-old Matthew Lee Cloyd of Sweet Springs, was caught as police officers, and detectives from the Sedalia Police Investigative Unit were canvasing the neighborhood.
