Just before 5 a.m. this morning (April 8), the Sedalia Police Department’s STING Unit and other officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no license plate lights in the area of 16th Street and S. A press release from the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office states that detectives arrested 54-year-old Larry E. Sisco of Sweet Springs last Monday (Sept. 25) for child molestation charges in the 1st degree.
The Sedalia Police Department stated in a press release that Sedalia Police and detectives with the STING Unit responded to 1900 South Ohio at 5:18 Sunday morning (Aug. 25) to serve a drug related search warrant. Upon arrival, entry was forced into the residence, and contact was made with a male and female.
On Aug. 15, deputies from the Pettis County Sheriff's Office, with assistance of the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Sedalia Police Department, served a search warrant at the residence of Michael Lee Nicholson, 47, in the 18000 block of Hitaffer Loop near Dresden in western Pettis County.
A press release from the Sedalia Police Department this morning (Aug. 1) states that two juveniles have been taken into custody for thefts from vehicles and property damage incidents that took place between July 21-24. Video surveillance from one of the motels involved led to the arrests in the case, along with information obtained by police, detectives and juvenile authorities.
At 8:21 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30 the Sedalia Police STING Unit and other officers served a search warrant at Room 125 at the American Inn located at 1217 South Limit. Upon arrival, officers found two subjects in the room and secured them. During a search, officers located methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and drug packaging supplies.
Members of the Sedalia STING Unit and other Sedalia Police officers arrested a suspect this morning (June 27) in connection with an armed burglary earlier this week. The subject, Michael L. Shepard of Sedalia, was arrested for two Pettis County Warrants issued with no bond from charges of assault, armed criminal action, a felon in possession of a firearm and felonious restraint.
