Danielle Hart, the vendor coordinator for the 2013 Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival, called in to the show to discuss the new location, what to expect at this year's festival and of course, the BBQ.

The Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival is coming up in Sept. 20-22.  It's going to be a huge event with lots of music and food down in Columbia at Stephens Lake Park.

Well, I’m back from a great vacation from Branson. Well-deserved time away, but couldn’t wait to get back. So let’s get to it.

The weekend is reserved for big parties and BBQ.  I recently came upon an awesome recipe on St. Louis Style BBQ. I have long touted that I am not a chef and every now and again I stumble upon something I want to try. My wife is definitely the chef in the family. I enjoy watching the Food Network and Cooking Channel, but KMOS-TV recently added Cook's Country From America's Test Kitchen on Channel 6

The Tipton Towne Square days is a huge event in a smaller town.  So you have all the entertainment and excitement of a big city, with the rural interests, people and values of Tipton.  They've been going since the July 13, but don't worry, you haven't missed out on all the fun.

Man, what a week, it was crazy.  Yes, it was snowing at DQ last weekend during Christmas in July.  It was a blast, lots of people enjoying that great food and all of the giveaways, it was just like Christmas with the music, movies and decorations.  I think Santa was close.

Kids, I know that a lot of us around here love us some barbecue. It's just part of our Missouri nature. We love it. We all know friends or family who claims to be the best of the best. The most dedicated of their ranks came down to the Smithton Fair on Saturday for the big barbecue at the city park.

The Fourth of July is tomorrow, everyone is excited to celebrate Independence Day. The Fourth of July is always jammed packed with traditions and events. Some may not know, or maybe you want to forget, but one tradition is the Nathan's Hotdog Eating Contest that happens every year on the Fourth of July.

About two weeks ago, Dale from Dukes & Boots had asked if there is something you’d like to see on his menu, what would you like. Our staff started talking and we took this a step further and asked the question if there were unique foods you’d like to see in Sedalia.  We got some surprising answers.
