Jack Miller’s Final Healthy Heart Update

This is my final updated from my rehab period. For those who may not know or remember, I had a heart attack on January 9 and had two stints put in the vessels of my heart. I feel fortunate that what I received was a warning that I have not been treating my body well. I have now completed that rehab, and feel like I am very much improved, although still well over the weight limit for a pony.

Doug Sleeps Away His Day Off, Doctor’s Orders

Today was a rare day off for me. I didn't go anyplace grand like last year's vacation to the Grand Hotel in Michigan, nor did I get to do any necessary chores around the house, but I slept. No, I did not sleep in late. This was doctor prescribed.

Volunteer in Sedalia with the American Red Cross and Bothwell Auxiliary

Kids, if there's anything I've noticed about Sedalia, it's that people here care about their neighbors.  And sometimes it can be something manifested in small ways - like helping shovel their walk, or checking on a neighbor, or donating to a local charity.

Well now, we've got another way that you can help and it doesn't cost anything but your time.  If you’re interested in meeting new people and giving back to the community, Bothwell Regional Health Center has a place for you. Volunteer opportunities are open with the American Red Cross and the Bothwell Auxiliary.

Help Bothwell by Donating Blood in Sedalia

Kids, I'm the person who does a lot of the updates for our events and such on the website. So I try to keep things pretty current around here.  I'll tell you one thing, though: while I do add all the charitable and fundraising events people organize around here,  I am a sucker for a Blood Drive.  I'll always make sure people know all about those.
