Early this morning (July 12) Sedalia Police were on patrol in the area of West 16th and South Sneed, when they observed a white male riding a bike southbound on South Sneed. The bike did not have a headlight and before Police could stop him, he jumped off the bike and ran to the 1700 Block of South Barrett and got away

Burn Ban in Effect for Pettis County

The Pettis County Sheriff has issued a statement that a burn ban is now in effect for Pettis County. An ordinance prohibiting all open burning has been enacted by the Pettis County Fire District No. 1 Board of Directors.
