Indianapolis Colts Shave Heads to Honor Cancer Stricken Coach

It's been quite a season for the Indianapolis Colts. Led by rookie quarterback Andrew Luck, they find themselves 5 and 3, a surprising improvement from last year when they were among the league's worst teams.

The Colts have been quick to credit their first year head coach Chuck Pagano for setting the tone for their turnaround. But Pagano has actually been absent from the team since September, when he was diagnosed with leukemia.

Breast Cancer Also Affects Men

It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and while all the pink we see on the players during NFL games in October mainly focuses our attention on how the disease affects women and what they can do about it, we should also keep in mind (or learn) that men, too, can contract breast cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, one in 1,000 men will fall victim to the disease, which claims the life of at least one man every day.

Walk into Moore's Greenhouse and Flower Shop this October and you'll get more than an eyeful of flowers.  You'll find yourself standing among a variety of hand-crafted, elaborately decorated underwear provided by members of the local community.  The bras aren't just for show; these glittered garments are entries in Moore's annual "Bra Contest" and help raise money for 2013 Relay for Life of Pettis County and will help fund cancer research.
