It's not too often when you play professional baseball that you get make a career out of it. For some it's one-shot-and-your-out. For some players, if they're lucky, they get to the majors out of the minor leagues for a few games. For some they have the talent to move into the majors and they make an impact on the game. One of those individuals will be honored by the St. Louis Cardinals on July 31. His name is Ted Simmons.
