Sedalia Teen Tasered After Threatening Sedalia Police With a Knife

Sedalia police responded to the 2200 block of South Grand Monday night (August 6) on a report of a male suspect making threats with a knife. Upon arrival, Sedalia Police along with a Pettis County Deputy gave the suspect, 19-year-old Joshua Lee of Sedalia, several verbal commands which were ignored.

Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff’s Report: July 25, 2012

Yesterday morning, Sedalia Police went to the 300 Block of West 32nd in reference to a property damage report. A woman reported that her neighbors caught her yard on fire by shooting fireworks on July 19. The victim said Sedalia Fire Department responded that day and put the fire out. There was also damage done to a couple of trees on the property.

Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff’s Report: Morning of July 24, 2012

Last night, July 23, at 11:30, Sedalia Police went to the area of South Marvin and East 10th as a victim said that two white males started walking behind him as he was on his way to Break Time. The victim said that the two men asked for his wallet. The victim thought they were joking and both suspects ran towards him and struck him in the face. The victim said he believes he struck one of the men in return.  The men took off running after the incident.

Sedalia Police Report: July 23, 2012

On Friday evening (July 20) at 8:33, Sedalia Police did a subject check in the 1500 Block of South Grand as a white male who appeared to have trouble standing. The victim said that he was run over by a vehicle. The Sedalia Fire Department and APSI were contacted and APSI transported him to Bothwell Regional Health Center. The victim had no visible physical injuries and was treated for pain. The suspect and victim were found to have a child in common. The Sedalia Police made contact with the suspect, but no arrest was made due to the lack of physical evidence.
