Toby Dorr, a former resident of Sedalia, used to go by another name, Toby Young. In 2006, Toby gained notoriety after helping an inmate escape from the Lansing, Kansas Correctional Facility. This Friday, June 11, that story will be featured on the nighttime NBC news program, Dateline.

Law enforcement authorities are investigating after an inmate escaped from a northern Kansas jail.

A 25-year-old man who escaped a Missouri jail cell has been sentenced to 15 years for rape.

Perhaps 18-year-old Shelby Figueroa was thinking just that when she slammed her car into the back of an unmarked police SUV in Clear Creek, Colorado. The five-foot-tall suspect was subsequently detained and placed into the back of another police SUV.

UPDATE, August 8, 2:03 p.m.:  The Pettis County Sheriff's Office has provided this press release in regard to the escape, pursuit and recapture of three inmates during a transport on I-70.
