ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Gov. Jay Nixon today joined business, labor and education leaders in front of the Missouri-made Mercury space capsule at the James S. McDonnell Planetarium in St. Louis to sign Senate Bill 1, bipartisan legislation to help Missouri compete for production of Boeing’s next-generation commercial aircraft, the 777X.

JEFFERSON CITY – Gov. Jay Nixon today will issue an executive order directing the Missouri Department of Revenue to accept the jointly-filed state tax returns of all legally married couples, including same-sex couples legally married in other states, who file joint federal tax returns as required under Missouri law.

JEFFERSON CITY – Gov. Jay Nixon joined Missouri State Senator Mike Parson and other state and local officials in Sedalia today (Oct. 1) to announce $2.2 million in infrastructure improvements at the more than 100-year-old Missouri State Fairgrounds. The improvements include upgrades to the storm water management system at the fairgrounds.
