After years of complaining from people who didn’t have or couldn’t afford cable (or whose parents refused to give them their HBO Go password), HBO is finally delivering a standalone streaming service, HBO Now. Today, the company announced some of its availability details, including pricing and when and where it will be available.

HBO Now is officially on its way, and the company has revealed new details, including a very reasonable subscription price. 'Game of Thrones' has drawn plenty of additional buzz in season 5 diverging from its literary roots, but those worried about the HBO fantasy drama's future can rest assured for at least a few years. Not only has the series officially been renewed through a sixth season in 2016, but is principle stars have now signed through season 7 as well.

HBO subscriptions have been something of a running joke through the TV industry, with a great many of the network's loyal fans sharing HBOGO passwords to avoid expensive cable packages, previously the only mean with which to watch shows like 'Game of Thrones' or 'True Detective.' Now, the company has finally acquiesced, and announced an independent streaming service due out in 2015.
