According to a Sedalia Police Department accident report, around 9:00 Wednesday morning (September 7), the driver of a flat-bed trailer, Daniel Ott, of Warsaw, was driving northbound on Highway 65, when the cargo on the back of the trailer, struck the overpass bridge abutment and the cargo (a track hoe), was pulled off the trailer of the truck.
Police have been called to an accident in the northbound lane of South Limit Avenue. A truck carrying a piece of heavy equipment lost its load on the roadway just before 9 a.m. No other vehicles were damaged, but motorists are advised to use caution if traveling on South Limit, just north of the Katy Trail overpass.
The traffic lights at Hwy 50 and 65 malfunctioned around 1:30 p.m. this afternoon (Jan. 28). for the second time this week. The Sedalia Police Department sent out officers to guide traffic during the time the traffic lights were out.
