Everyone is happy to see a visiting loved one. Families are scattered throughout the country and world for many reasons. The holidays are a time when we get together with people we don't get to see on a daily, weekly, monthly or sometimes yearly basis. These are meaningful people in our lives and being together with them during the holidays is a heartwarming idea. Until that day comes.
Like Bruce always says, "Family stays family when they stay at a hotel." Where do your family members stay when they visit for the holidays?
Holiday travel will bring increased traffic to the American highways this Thanksgiving weekend. However, with many families still simply trying to operate day-to-day on shoestring budgets, people are expected to plan shorter trips to carve their turkeys this year as a means to save money on fuel and other expenses.

I'm one of those people that believe Christmas decorations should not be put up until after Thanksgiving. I enjoy the holidays, but I also like for them to have a special feeling. I think we lose some of that when we start seeing stores display Christmas merchandise after the day after Halloween. Some retailers have had their displays up for weeks already. Apparently, I'm not alone.
While many analysts predict that holiday shopping will remain on the conservative side yet this year, a new survey suggests that more people intend to give the gift of giving to none other than themselves.

The buying frenzy of the holidays can comprise 40 percent of the total annual profit for a toy store. With this in mind, Toys R Us has released their 2012 Holiday Hot Toy List to get a head start on the hottest items this year.
