I started a brush with fame segment last month and I thought I'd bring it back, this time with somebody I knew from college. You may have seen him in many commercials and I'm proud to say I graduated with him at the University of Central Missouri in 2000.

The 40th Annual BMW MOA Rally continues through Saturday, July 21, as thousands of riders camp out at the Missouri State Fairgrounds.  The rally includes seminars, workshops, vendors and more.  KSIS visit the fairgrounds on night one of the rally, which is not open to the public. Here are some of the scenes we captured from the rally.

The Sedalia Police Department mandate of "Protect and Serve" took on a whole new meaning this morning (June 29), when Officer Jessica Harris and the rest of the Sedalia Police Department set out to save an orphaned fawn that would otherwise have quickly become a victim in the wild.

The Missouri Lottery reports that a woman from Ionia has won a major lotto prize.  Geraldine Carrico of Ionia followed her hunch about a Missouri Lottery "Cash Ka-Pow" Scratchers ticket and ended up winning a $20,000 top prize.  Carrico, 65, bought the winning ticket at Rush Hour 9, 1320 South Limit in Sedalia on June 15.

Last night (June 27), Pettis County Fire Fighters were called to a structure fire at a wooden-decked low water crossing on South Grand Avenue.  Firefighters say a large amount of spent firework debris and packaging were found at the bridge, leading them to believe that fireworks ignited the bridge.

The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning through Saturday night for West Central Missouri with the ongoing high temperatures.  At this time there appears to be no rain in the forecast for the next week, but temperatures are expected to feel like it is between 100 and 105 and sometimes up to 115 in the next few days.

Panera Bread is no longer a drive away to Kansas City, Columbia or Springfield.  It opened for business with a non-profit day for the benefit of D.A.R.E and Childsafe on Sunday, June 24 in the Thompson Hills Shopping Center.  Employees told me that they raised about $4,900 in total for the day for those charities, a successful test opening.  I made it to the official opening day on Monday, J
