Denny and I talked on Bob FM about popular rock bands, and whether or not rock could ever capture what it had in the '60s and '70s.  I have to admit, my favorite bands got started in that era.   Pink Floyd,  Queen, Led Zepplin,  just to name a few.  But who is your favorite today?

This week there may be a lot of scrambling to honor your mother. Whether that means your mom, wife, sister, aunt, cousin or whoever it is that is a mother, it is a time to say thanks to your mom and those that are mothers. The question is: what does one do for Mother's Day?

The Sedalia Police Department will hold its 16th Annual Peace Officer's Memorial Ceremony on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at the Municipal Building located at Second and Osage. Opening ceremonies will begin at 6 p.m., and will take about 20 minutes.  An open house and reception will follow until 8 o'clock.
