The Liberty Center Association for the Arts will host its second annual Enchanted Forest.

I made my way to Downtown Sedalia to check out the free venues for the 2015 Scott Joplin Festival and enjoyed catching up with some familiar faces and seeing the people who came from afar to enjoy the shows. The weather did cause a little of a disturbance and moved the events in the Maple Leaf Venue at Main and Ohio to the Liberty Center, but everything else has been going well...

The fifth installment of the national hit musical comedy series, The Church Basement Ladies in The Last (Potluck) Supper will be presented Thursday, March 19 at the historic Liberty Center Theater.  The production comes from Minneapolis, MN, and has been selling out in venues coast to coast...

A Christmas Story the Musical opens November 29 at the historic Lona Theatre operated by the Liberty Center Association for the Arts.

Long extinct dinosaurs will be seen roaming at the historic Liberty Center, 111 West 5th Street on Thursday, October 16, 2014.

Here's a look at the events going on in our area this weekend.

9 to 5: The Musical is a musical based on the 1980 movie of the same name, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton. The Liberty Center here in Sedalia started their run of this great show last week. The show's plot follows the same as the famous movie that a lot of us saw and loved!

I'm sure many of us remember the fun '80s comedy '9 to 5.'  It starred Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Dolly Parton, and Dabney Coleman. Now there's a great musical adaptation, done by Ms. Parton herself, and the best part is that you can see it right here in Sedalia, presented by the fine folks at the Liberty Center.

The Liberty Center in downtown Sedalia hosted the latest art showcase for the students of Smith-Cotton High School on Wednesday, Feb. 19.

'A Sedalia Christmas' is a multimedia play written in celebration of Sedalia's holiday traditions and celebrations from 1866-1969. It was written by Sedalia native Becky Imhauser, and local actors and actresses portray Sedalians and the events that shaped their lives.
