UPDATE: A Powerball ticket sold in Dearborn matched all six Powerball numbers drawn last night to win half of the $587.5 million jackpot. At $293.7 million, this is the largest jackpot prize ever won in Missouri and the second-largest Powerball jackpot awarded nationwide. The ticket was sold at Trex Mart, 17605 Highway Z, in Dearborn. The winning numbers were: 5, 16, 22, 23, 29, and the Powerball

A little more than five months ago, a Los Angeles woman bought a lottery ticket at Michael’s Market & Liquor. She then left it in her car and forgot about it, obviously not that enthused with her 18 million-to-one odds of hitting the jackpot. Unbeknownst to her, she hit that jackpot to the turn of $23 million.

The Missouri Lottery reports that a woman from Ionia has won a major lotto prize.  Geraldine Carrico of Ionia followed her hunch about a Missouri Lottery "Cash Ka-Pow" Scratchers ticket and ended up winning a $20,000 top prize.  Carrico, 65, bought the winning ticket at Rush Hour 9, 1320 South Limit in Sedalia on June 15.

Not one, not two, but six $1 million Powerball tickets were sold at the same QuikTrip gas station located in Glendale, Arizona. Only one person has come forward thus far to claim their ticket and therein lies the source of a difference of opinion between lottery officials and the owner of the establishment that sold the tickets.
