The Missouri Rural Major Case Squad convened this morning (July 24) in Sedalia to assist the Pettis County Sheriff in the death investigation of two rural Green Ridge residents earlier this week. Thirty investigators from area agencies began receiving lead assignments and will be working the case over the next several days.
Two people found inside a burning home in far western Pettis County on Monday have been positively identified, and investigators are treating their deaths as homicides.
