However, in one of the most bizarre twists we’ve seen in college football, it now appears that the whole story about a dying girlfriend was a hoax.

While all eyes in the college football world will be on Saturday night’s presentation of the Heisman Trophy, Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o holds a big lead in postseason hardware after taking home three trophies—including two national player of the year awards—during last night's college football awards show. He has now won six major awards since the end of the regular season.
