Pettis County storm shelters are location at various locations around town and vary in capacity, able to shelter from 600-3000 people at a time. The shelters will be available when Pettis County has been placed under a Tornado Watch, and will remain open until the watch expires or has been cancelled. Information concerning whether or not residents should go to the shelter will be broadcast on Newstalk 1050 KSIS, as well as 1490 and available online via Nixle.
