Florida Georgia Line Will Play at 2014 Missouri State Fair

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Gov. Jay Nixon today announced the first of the acts coming to Sedalia for the 2014 Missouri State Fair in August. The award-winning country music duo Florida Georgia Line will play in the Pepsi Grandstand with Colt Ford the evening of Aug. 13. This year marks the 112th Missouri State Fair.

One of our good friends over the years and familiar face at the Missouri State Fair has passed on. Thom Fuller has passed away at the age of 50.  You may know Thom best as the host of the Missouri State Fair Idol from it's inception until 2012. He also hosted the Extravaganza Events in the Touchstone Energy Stage and many other shows at the fair.

Official Attendance of 2013 Missouri State Fair Shows Increase Over Last Year

(SEDALIA, Mo.) – Missouri State Fair Director Mark Wolfe announced today (Oct. 28) an attendance of 366,218 at this year’s 11 day event.  The figure reflects an increase of more than three percent from last year, and an upward trend in attendance since Wolfe assumed his position in 2009.  This positive direction has had a ripple effect on the Fair’s revenue generating streams, including the campground and carnival operations, helping to put the State Fair on a more solid financial footing.

Gov. Nixon Announces Major Infrastructure Improvements at the Missouri State Fairgrounds

JEFFERSON CITY – Gov. Jay Nixon joined Missouri State Senator Mike Parson and other state and local officials in Sedalia today (Oct. 1) to announce $2.2 million in infrastructure improvements at the more than 100-year-old Missouri State Fairgrounds. The improvements include upgrades to the storm water management system at the fairgrounds.
