Last weekend, my brother came to visit from Michigan and he eats like crazy. So I took him to what I heard was the best buffet in Missouri: Charley's Buffet.
The thunderous sounds of rumbling motorcycles came rolling into Sedalia at the State Fair's Campgrounds for Labor Day Weekend. There was a lot of fun to be had at the Campgrounds. They had several vendors selling motorcycle products, clothing and some great food. There were live bands playing in the evening for the ending of the days' events.
The committee to save Camp Sacajawea met last night (Aug. 28) for the first time since the Girl Scouts of Missouri Heartland Council presented what they needed to do to help save the camp. Historic Downtown Sedalia was the backdrop once again for the 2013 Sedalia Downtown Criterium Bike Race. The races started around 4 p.m. on Saturday (Aug. 24), starting with the first of five men's races.They also held two women's races and one junior race. The Final Men's Race started at 9 p.m.

Tonight (Aug. 17) will be one of the craziest nights of Bull Riding. I was privileged to be able to spend the afternoon with Tyler Farr and his family before his show at The Missouri State Fair. Tyler's dad, Gary Farr, hosted a party at Patricia's for family, friends and guests. It was quite an evening.
