Kids, I was lucky in that I was able to host the Smithton Baby Contest last year. I was so happy that they asked me back again this year. We had the big contest on Saturday night at the old gym of the Smithton School.

This week was the first installment of the State Fair Community College's Summer Repertory shows.  They're doing two small shows (each one has a cast of three) and they promised a lot of fun.  I got to go to one of them this weekend, and here's what went down.

Sedalia hosted many bikers on Saturday (June 15) for a special salute to the Patriot Guard Riders. State Representative and Chairman of the Missouri House Veterans Committee Charlie Davis organized the Patriot Guard Summer Rally to show appreciation for the riders who honor military families at funerals, participate in parades and support the military.

I attended my daughter's first ballet with the Studio A Dance Conservatory last weekend at the in the Heckart Performing Arts Center at Smith-Cotton High School. The Studio A Dance Conservatory is led by Anna Crumley. Kids, this weekend I got to head out to the Sedalia DQ Grill & Chill.  Now, normally I would be there to stuff my face, but this time I was there for a more important calling.
