SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — A Springfield man is facing two misdemeanor charges after police say he falsely reported a drug dealer had shot him in the abdomen.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — Columbia police say a clerical error caused the Missouri Highway Patrol to classify an unsolved fatal shooting as a justifiable homicide.
With the 4th of July quickly approaching, the Sedalia Police Department would like to remind the citizens of Sedalia that buying, selling, displaying and shooting fireworks is prohibited within the city limits. Violating the fireworks ordinance can result in a $109 fine and potentially some time in jail.
