Today (Aug. 29), emergency personnel in Sedalia helped lay to rest one of their own. Kenny M. Stone passed away in the line of duty on Aug. 23, 2013. Kenny served our community as a paramedic. He most recently worked for APSI in Sedalia, but had spent a career serving at the Sni-Valley Volunteer Fire Department where he was assistant chief, as well as Oak Grove EMS and Lifeguard Ambulance. Community Members Pay Tribute to Librarian Lynn Phillips During Funeral Procession [PHOTOS]
The funeral for Lynn Phillips was held at the Celebration Center in Sedalia this morning (May 31).  Former students, parents and community members gathered along the east side of Highway 65 to honor the Skyline librarian by holding up children's books as the procession passed.  The tribute was organized by the Sedalia School District.
