SAN FRANCISCO -- And the filling-in-for-Ryan Vogelsong winner is ... Michael Kickham, former pitcher for the Sedalia Bombers. The 24-year-old lefty will be called up from Triple-A Fresno to make Tuesday's start with the San Francisco Giants against Oakland, manager Bruce Bochy announced after Sunday's 7-3 win.

The Sedalia Bombers had a whirlwind season, as several times they were in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th place in the MINK League South.  At times it looked like they could have called it quits, but they charged back with a homestand at the end of the season that lasted over a week, and were able to win the MINK League South by a half a game over the Ozark Generals.

The Sedalia Bombers swept the Omaha Diamond Spirits by scores of 5-0; 3-2; and 8-1 on Thursday and Friday.   The Sedalia Bombers will finish the home portion of their season at Liberty Park Stadium/Dey Field against the Chilicothe Mudcats Saturday at 7 p.m. and the St. Joseph Mustangs on Sunday at 7 p.m.  Then the Bombers will go on the road to take on the Clarinda A's for a three game set.
