The VFW Post 2591 held a Patriot Day Celebration at the Sedalia VFW last Sunday afternoon (Sept. 8). VFW Post Commander Larry Reven led the ceremony, recognizing veterans from the conflicts in Panama, Grenada, Kosovo, Bosnia, Desert Storm and the War on Terrorism.

The Korean War may have happened over 60 years ago and may be called the “Forgotten War,” but it was remembered by those who gathered at the Sedalia VFW on Sunday afternoon (June 23). Eighteen Korean War vets were on hand to be recognized for their service by the Sedalia VFW. Post Commander Larry Reven and Service Coordinator Gary Gill led the program that was held in honor of the 63rd Anniversary
The Sedalia VFW Post 2591 honored War on Terrorism Veterans with a lunch, pie auction and ceremony on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 24) at the Sedalia VFW Building. The lunch consisted of ham n' beans that was purchased and prepared by post member Bob Rinehart.
