Should Sedalia Host a ‘Polar Plunge’ Event? [POLL]

The 7th annual Polar Plunge on Feb. 8 in Columbia was an enormous success, raising $74,000 to-date. A total of 376 brave men and women from around the area donned costumes and swimwear to take a dip into Stephens Lake. They all had a reason to dive into the freezing water, the money went to help the athletes of Special Olympics Missouri.

Rodeo Bull and Rider

NFPB Bullriding Coming to Sedalia This Weekend [INTERVIEW]

This Friday and Saturday (Feb. 14 and 15), NFPB Bullriding will be at the Mathewson Center on the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the Western Trade Show, free pony rides, and mutton bustin' for the kids. The action gets underway at 8:00 p.m., as 38 brave cowboys do their best to stay on top of some of the toughest bulls in the country.

Sedalia STING Unit Serves Search Warrant on South Ingram Avenue, Finds Finds Meth and Other Drugs

Around 2:07 Tuesday morning (Feb. 11) detectives with the STING Unit and Patrol Officers responded to 2805 South Ingram Ave., Lot 7, to serve a search warrant. Upon entry to the residence, officers discovered methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, and materials commonly used to package drugs for sale.

Cowboy Poker Looks Like It’s Going to Hurt [VIDEO]

The rodeo is coming to Sedalia this weekend! This Friday and Saturday (Feb. 14 and 15) you can see NFPB Bullriding at the Mathewson Center on the Missouri State Fairgrounds. One of the events taking place at the rodeo is Cowboy Poker, and I've been volunteered to play on Saturday night. If you don't know what Cowboy Poker is, it's pretty simple: Four guys sit down at a card table for a nice game of poker in the middle of the ring, then a wild bull is thrown in with them. Last one touching the table wins.

Central Missouri Ag Club Photo Contest Winners on Display at the Ag Expo This Weekend in Sedalia

The Central Missouri Ag Club is happy to announce the winners of their annual photo contest. This year’s theme was “This is MY Agriculture.”  Winners received $100 for first place, $75 for second and $50 for third place in both the youth and adult division.
