Every week I try to think of a different question about something I've read in the news about things that we're thinking about.  Then I ask you about your opinion, and we talk about it on the air.

As much as people gripe about not having enough spare time, the opposite appears to be true, if the American Time Use Survey by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) is to be believed.

I know a lot of us are concerned about the situation in Ferguson.  It's been all over the national news this week, and people are definitely divided on the issues surrounding it.

CareerBuilder asked close to 2,200 hiring managers if they’ve ever spotted a lie on a resume and 58 percent said yes, indeed they had. The problem has apparently gotten worse since the recession ended with jobs still relatively scarce as three in ten managers admit the incidence of lying has increased.

If it hasn't happened already, your kids will one day ask why notebooks, pencils and rulers were ever used in the classroom.

We've had some great acts come to the Missouri State Fair over the years.  I can think of quite a few from all sorts of different types of music.  Rock, bluegrass, country, soul, gospel, you name it - it might have been here.

The Missouri State Fair has been here for about a week or so now, and most of us have been at some point over that time.

I know when a lot of us think of the Missouri State Fair, we think of live music, carnival rides, food and fun.  But, part of that fun is sometimes overlooked: the hard work and dedication of the groups, organizations, and people in all the buildings and exhibits.

One of the things that makes a huge difference during our Missouri State Fair fun is the weather. Of course in the summertime we expect a little heat, a little humidity, and that's fine. We're tough, we can take it.
