I don’t have any tattoos. I have trouble committing to a pair of shoes in the morning; committing to something that would stay on my body for the rest of my life would be impossible. Dublin Social Club in downtown Warrensburg will perform a 24-hour tattoo marathon beginning on Friday night (Sept. 20). The marathon will commence at the stroke of midnight and will entail $20 tattoos for walk-ins, door prizes every hour, zombie-themed grab bags and a scavenger hunt.
Tattoo aficionados know they should only frequent parlors where things are clean and the artist uses sterile tools. But dangers may lurk elsewhere — new studies show the ink itself could be contaminated.
