We all know that you never think about the Fire Department until you need them.  But there are some people who go out of their way to make sure you never have to think about it, and they volunteer their time to help keep us all safe.  The Johnson County Fire Auxiliary Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction serves as a thank you to a lot of these brave souls.

The end of the year brings the mad dash for my fellow employees to try and take some time off for the holidays, so I am off for three days this week. Nothing like taking time off to do last minute shopping for the holidays!  However, I also volunteered to help out the Skyline Elementary 3rd Grade for a day putting together gingerbread houses.
