An 18-year old Sweet Springs man was injured Saturday afternoon while traveling in LaMonte, MO.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident at 1:30, on MO-127, just south of Wimer Road in Pettis County.

According to the online crash report, a 2000 Ford Ranger traveled off the right side of the road, when the driver over corrected causing the truck to travel off the left side of the road, then vault over a barbed wire fence. The MSHP says the truck continued to travel a short distance through a field, then struck a fence and continuing driving through a bean field, before striking the same fence, and backing over it.

The driver, 18-year old Braden T. Butts, of Sweet Springs, suffered minor injuries in the accident. He was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.

According to the crash report, the Ford Ranger sustained extensive damage and was towed.
