The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a Texas man stopped in southwest Missouri had more than 100 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle.

The patrol says in a news release that a trooper stopped a vehicle Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 44 in Strafford for a lane violation.

After troopers noticed something suspicious, they were given permission to search the vehicle. The patrol says the troopers found 100 bundles of marijuana weighing about 115 pounds hidden in the vehicle's seats.

The driver of the SUV, a 26-year-old man from El Paso, Texas, was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking.
